Published on May 1, 2012 by EVAG
Banks Renewables is proposing to build a windfarm North East of Drymen, adjacent to the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park.
The site is on land owned by farmers at Craigievern and Blairfad and has been given the made up name of Ard-Ghaoth.
The proposal is for 10 turbines each with a height to blade tip of 115m (377ft).
The windfarm would be visible from all major viewpoints – The Queens View, Ben Ledi, the West Highland Way, Conic Hill, to name a few significant attractions – and will impact across a huge area, not least intruding on arguably the most well-known area of Scotland – Loch Lomond.
NO THANKS BANKS
