"So wollen wir nicht leben - Gegen-Wind Fargau-Pratjau"

Hallo,

ein in der Nähe befindliches vollgestelltes Eignungsgebiet für Windkraftanlagen soll um über 40ha erweitert werden. Die Planung sieht vor, das Gebiet für Anlagen der Größe 150m+ auf bis zu 400m an ein Dorf mit 50 Einwohnern heranzuführen. Das Dorf wird dabei halbkreisförmig von dem Gebiet eingeschlossen. Das würde definitiv zur Unbewohnbarkeit führen.

Betroffene Bürger haben daraufhin eine Aktionsgemeinschaft gegründet, um diese Planung zu verhindern.

Wir würden uns sehr über eine Aufnahme freuen!

Unterstützung

Guten Tag,

aufmerksam auf Ihre Internetseite geworden bin ich durch den Artikel: "Gegen den Wind", Nachrichtenmagazin "Der Spiegel", Ausgabe 27/2011.

Obwohl selber in unmittelbarer Nähe (noch) nicht von einer Windkraftanlage betroffen, sehe ich auf meinem täglichen Arbeitsweg ( ca. 30km von Warendorf nach Münster, Deutschland/NRW ) mehr und mehr dieser "Windmühlen" , auf deren Nachteile Sie auf Ihrer Seite sehr anschaulich hinweisen, aus dem Boden wachsen.

Sie gehen auf Ihrer Internetseite sehr detailliert auf die Nachteile dieser Art von Energiegewinnung ein. Zumal sich jeder rational denkende Mensch vorstellen kann, wie diese Anlagen zum Beispiel im Winter bei 15 Grad minus und absoluter Windstille unseren Energiebedarf decken würde.

Gerne würde ich mich also Ihrer Initiative gegen den Bau weiterer Windkraftanlagen anschliessen, aber leider sind Privatpersonen nicht zugelassen.

Meiner Meinung nach verschenken Sie damit unglaubliches Potenzial an Unterstützern für Ihre berechtigten Anliegen, zumal die Interessenvertretung ganz spezieller Vereine oder Initiativen immer einen nennen wir es einmal "eigennützigen" (egoistischen) Beigeschmack hat.

Ich wünsche Ihnen dennoch weiterhin viel Kraft und Durchhaltevermögen.

Greetings from the USA

Good day,

I am writing from the state of Rhode Island in the United States.
It is wonderful to find fellow groups of like minded people.

My group Ill Wind, is a coalition of concerned citizens challenging the placement of large industrial wind turbines in residential neighborhoods of Charlestown, Rhode Island. We have lately branched out to assist other organizations in neighboring small towns in their fight against the destruction of their peaceful environments by the placing of enormous wind turbines in their residential neighborhoods.

Our core organization is approximately fifty active members and nearly one hundred less vocal supporters. As our umbrella grows we have added scores of new associates from other small towns.

I have attached our flier that we distributed in the last election. It was effective enough to help us remove three of the five Town Councilors who were pushing the giant turbines.

Off shore wind farms

Dear friends,

I am living on the beautiful island of Anglesey North Wales where there are plans to erect 1,500 wind turbines off shore 8 miles out in our Bay. Anglesey is a holiday island and it is very popular with tourists and source of employment for many of us on this Island. The planners seem to disregard the importance of the tourist industry and are hell bent on making us the largest wind farm in the EU. We already have the turbines on the land. It is horrendous and however much people say how awful they are they still keep on erecting them all over GB they do not listen. To see this island destroyed will break my heart and that of all who love this island. I am also concerned about the wild life. As I have heard how the seagulls are being battered and the fish are being electrocuted. We have a lot of Dolphins in the bay what will they do or the seals.

I wish to add my support to your group in voting a Big NO to all Wind Farms!

“Pjauliu” countryside community

Dear EPAW representative,

I am representing a local countryside community in Lithuania that is opposed to the invasion of wind turbine parks on the large bird migratory path. We would like to join your movement and be the part of opposition to the heavily lobbied EU plans to litter our landscapes with wind turbines.

Also, would it be possible for you to provide us with information of where to file our complaints on the EU institutional level, so that we could have a chance of standing against the invasion of wind turbine parks?

The territory we are standing for is located in Lithuania, nearby Baltic Sea:

Every autumn and spring, myriads of bird passes over this territory and there is an international station for bird ringing located. We have collected hundreds signatures from people living around this area, who opposes the construction of wind turbine parks.

The situation is such, that the current national regulations do not require impact assessment to be carried out where the wind turbines are to be built and the minimum distance the turbine can stand from the house or inhabited area according to state laws is only 75 meters. Our community has filed innumerable number of complaints on the national level and our national EP representatives but have received no support at all. The only result we have achieved is only the assurance that national authorities are supporting companies that construct wind turbine parks. In our case, the company that plans to build wind turbine park is a German - Sachsenkraft GmbH, Burgerstrasse 28, Dresden.

We have collected many documents that show the approval by national authorities the construction of wind turbine parks, while neglecting the interests and right of impacted neighborhoods.

We would like to ask you, can you advise us - as to how we could more effectively stand against wind turbines on the EU institutional level as our local authorities are heavily corrupted and the legal basis for the construction of wind turbines is more that liberal.

OS Na Skále Radošice

Dear all,

our organisation Civic Association Na Skále was founded in the village Radošice in 2006.

We are opposing to the construction of a windfarm on the west Czech republic in mountain Brdy, where there are several natural parks and where nest the black stork (Ciconia nigra). We sincerely join your demand for a moratorium on European wind energy projects and we support all iniciatives of the international organisation EPAW with emphasis on preservation of countryside.

At our Annual General Meeting on 28th December 2009 it was unanimously agreed that we should join EPAW.

Windlärm

Hallo,

wir, die Initiative gegen die (Lärm-)Belästigung durch die Windräder in Bad Lausick, würden uns gern Ihrer Organisation anschließen. Leider ist es bei uns schon zu spät, vor wenigen Monaten wurden bei uns zwei Windräder in die Landschaft gesetzt, teilweise 600 Meter an bewohntes Gebiet (siehe Webseite). Dagegen muss etwas getan werden.

Wir hoffen auf regen Erfahrungsaustausch.

A través de este correo desde la Plataforma para la Defensa de Gistreo os manifestamos nuestro apoyo y solidaridad en todas vuestras actuaciones a las que deseamos adherirnos para que, entre todos conseguir que la energía eólica se desarrolle de una forma equilibrada y compatible con los espacios naturales.

La Plataforma para la Defensa de Gistreo pretende defender el ámbito natural de la sierra de Gistreo y Coto -estrivaciones de la Cordillera Cantábrica en la provincia de León- que dotada de un gran valor ecológico y paisajístico, se encuentra amenazada por incontables proyectos industriales eólicos con el objetivo final hacer de ella todo un bosque de aerogeneradores.

En estos momentos mantenemos una dura pugna social y legal contra los especuladores promotores industriales y el propio Gobierno de la Junta de Castilla y León, que ha autorizado y promovido la construcción de los parques eólicos en la sierra, amenazando con acabar con las últimas poblaciones occidentales de osos pardos (Ursus arctos) y urogallos (Tetrao urogallus cantabricus) europeos.

Australian Landscape Guardians Association Inc.

I note that you have several letters of encouragement from Australia and I would like to add those of the Australian Landscape Guardians of which I chair a Scientific and Economic sub-committee.

Amongst our other activities we have a major fight on our hands, particularly in the south eastern states of South Australia (SA), Victoria (Vic) and New South Wales (NSW) in relation to the depredation caused by the indiscriminate and ignorant insertion of so called wind farms, generally on high ridges where they may be seen for 50 kilometres, and close to relatively closely settled rural communities where there is likely to be major power distribution infrastructure, thus allowing the developers to make greater profits.

Like other countries it is only a government mandated subsidy that drives these developments, with of course, the subsidy being passed directly on to consumers.

Our politicians have used the global warming proposition as a scare tactic to create a situation whereby they can garner “city- green” votes by showing city dwellers that they are doing something to contribute to global warming abatement; and to demonstrate “leadership” (perhaps in foolishness?) to other nations. All at the expense of what we now call the rural underclass (homo paganus).

I have read the draft letter that you are proposing to circulate to European institutions and would be interested, if you would so allow, to circulate that to the corresponding Australian institutions. To retain its weight it would, of course, need to be the letter that you are circulating and would be introduced by our organisation with a small covering note. If this is possible, perhaps we could communicate when your letter is finalised.

I attach a small piece that we have prepared and are circulating to what we perhaps ironically call ‘decision makers’. At present we are focussing on trying to crack the loaded guidelines for the governments’ planning authorities with the possibility of bringing a court case in the Supreme Court of Victoria to force that State Government to change both the planning process and the guidelines. At present this possibility remains under investigation by lawyers.

Whilst our approach starts with depredation of countryside and ‘human habitat’, we are becoming alarmed about noise and other health affects and the dramatic reduction in the saleability and value of our properties adjacent to windfarms.

Great to see that you have organised so quickly and so formidably.

Nous appuyons entièrement votre démarche et nous rendons compte, à la lecture de vos communiqués, que nous partageons les mêmes appréhensions, soulevons les mêmes questions, et vivons les mêmes frustrations...
... devant l'intrusion de promoteurs véreux qui font irruption dans nos hameaux, en infiltrant les petites administrations municipales, non préparées à de tels enjeux, et en faisant miroiter monts et merveilles à ses représentants, et plein de promesses, qui ne sont que du vent...

Nous n'avons pas de logo, ni de magot, réduits à nous défendre contre une machine qui a ses accointances avec les sbires de la politique et de la finance. Toujours le même pattern de contrôle de l'information et de maîtrise de la désinformation. Surpris de rencontrer autant de compagnons d'armes d'une lutte que nous n'avons jamais cherchée. Heureux de ne pas être seuls.

We would like to express our full-hearted support for the European Platform Against Windfarms. The establishment of your organization is a milestone in the continuing fight of individual communities against destructive windfarms that are being arbitrarily installed for sheer profit without any consideration for the suffering environment and local residents.

Unterstützung

Viele Atomkraftgegner haben gemeint, mit Windkraft könne man die Atomkraft ersetzen. Weit gefehlt! Die grossen Energieunternehmen, die den Bau von Atomkraftwerken puschen, strecken schon lange die hohle Hand hin, um ebenfalls von den Subventionen für die Windenergie zu profitieren. Sie denken aber nicht im mindesten daran, deswegen die Pläne für den Ausbau der Atomenergie aufzugeben. So wird nun zusätzlich die Landschaft durch die immer gigantischer werdenden Windenergietürme verschandelt, ohne dass die Gefährdung durch die Atomenergie vermindert wird. Eine völlige Absurdität!

Dębki nie są odnawialne

Friends and colleagues from EPAW!

We want to join You.

Mainly our action concerns the "Pomorze offshore project".

The project provides for construction of 33 windmills in the sea at the beach level in Dębki, 5 up to 7 km from the edge. Their towers are supposed to have 105 m, length of the shovel of the airscrew - 45 m. The entire structure would have 150 m. Area of the farm - 6 km2. Responsible for the realization is the company - Wiatropol International from Gdańsk.

The investor located the farm in area Nature 2000. It is a program being in effect in the EU of the environmental protection. A European Commission is approving areas entering his composition. A breadth of protected area is 15 km. If windmills were erected in such a distance from the beach, there would be no problem: neither for birds, nor for the landscape. Wiatropol gave the alternative - windmills would be erected kilometre from the edge. It is nonsensical!

We are afraid that investment will influence to the local flora and the fauna and to the landscape negatively. Hence our opposition.

Glyncorrwg Action Group

Our group is based in Glyncorrwg at the top of the beautiful Afan Valley in Wales, UK. This former mining village has suffered from economic and social deprivation since the last mine closed in 1970 with the loss of around 1000 jobs. The population has halved since the closing of the mine and many people suffer from a range of illnesses.

Since 1994 this community has been threatened by a series of proposals for wind farms. The village is not opposed to renewable energy, it is the scale and the closeness to homes which they object to. The natural scenery will be ruined. Many rare bird are located in this area.
In some cases 400 feet turbines would be as close as 500 metres from homes. Two planning applications have been rejected with another still in the pre planning phase.
The latest project is a proposal by Amsterdam based Nuon to build 50 to 60 of a 96 turbine wind farm near to the village, the closest being 800 metres from the nearest home. Each turbine will be 475 feet high. The tallest building in Wales has just been completed in Swansea, this is 360 feet high.

We have been involved with many others in fighting these wind farms which we feel are being imposed on us from outside and many feel that after 100 years of coal mining when the scars of this are beginning to heal, the burden of energy production should be shared throughout the country. The adverse effects of wind farms have not been highlighted in this country. Wind energy is mediaeval technology which mainly benefits multi national wind companies rather than local communities.

Queridos amigos de EPAW

Queremos formar parte de la European Platform Against Windfarms – EPAW, pues aunque estamos a favor de cualquier tipo de energías renovables y de la energía eólica en puntos muy concretos en otros es una auténtica barabaridad lo que está sucediendo.

Así estamos luchando para que parte de la Sierra de Ávila quede libre de molinos tras ver las barbaridades que se han realizado en los parques de Cabeza Mesa, El Rincón y el Colladillo con un una evaluación de impacto ambiental obsoleta realizada para aerogeneradores más pequeños y de menor potencia.

Todo ello ha supuesto la apertura más viales y más anchos así como la deposición de rellenos espectaculares en cauces, la realización de trabajos a 200 m a de colonias de buitre leonado y la muerte de un ejemplar de águila real. Y por supuesto de la energía nuclear no queremos ni oir hablar.

Comitato Monte dei Cucchi

Dear EPAW,

we are a committee constituted by residents, who live in small towns and in the countryside, and non residents people, who have here their cottages. We are opposing to the construction of a windfarm on the north Italian Apennines about 1000mt on the s.l., precisely between Florence and Bologna, in the municipality of S.Benedetto Val di Sambro (Bologna – Italy), very close to three small towns and a tourist-residential village of about 150 cottages.

If this windfarm project will be constructed, it will be as the largest of the northern part of Italy (24 towers, 100mt high).

The south part of Italy and the two islands – Sicilia and Sardegna - are crowded with windturbines, their number increase every month, new projects are proposed to regions and provinces who administer our beautiful country from many different societies. Nobody cares about persons, animals, landscapes, territories, the Italian Government doesn’t lay down rules and regulations about windfarms (for example about the minimum distance from houses).

We sincerely join your demand for a moratorium on European wind energy projects and ask you to add our organisation – Comitato Monte dei Cucchi - to your membership.

We are pleased to have found that EPAW has undertaken the task of requesting a moratorium on industrial-scale windfarms, which represent a threat to the landscape, nature and the inhabitants of nearby dwellings.

We are sorry to inform you we had to learn about these risks, along with the incompetency of the involved authorities the hard way. Over the highlands of the Bakony hills in western Hungary a 30-tower windfarm was planned in the very vicinity of Nature2000 areas,

regions of landscape protection, the national ecological network and also the villages we live in. Albeit the environmental impact assessment was full of fraud (e.g, view plan, noise calculations, etc) the authorities issued the environmental permit. Press conference May 26, best wishes

Dear good people,

Best wishes for a successful press conference on May 26. More and more ordinary people are realising the inefficiency of the dark, satanic windmills.

Governments though are hurtling lemming-like towards the cliffs of destruction of our Planet. Birds, bats and other fauna are being destroyed by the greed of turbine developers, their avarice fuelled by access to the taxpayers funds.

The Web of Life is being compromised by these inefficient structures, homo sapiens could go the way of other extinct species - we destroy the food chains around the world at our own peril.

The cost of even ONE of these wind machines could provide clean drinking water for thousands of people in developing countries, or innoculate little children against disease, how selfish!

Liebe Mitstreiter in aller Welt,

der Landesverband Landschaftsschutz Niedersachsen e.V. ist ein Zusammenschluss von Bürgerinitiativen und Einzelpersonen in Niedersachsen. Seit Jahren (gegründet 2003) setzen wir uns dafür ein, der Zerstörung unserer Heimat durch immer größere WKA ein Ende zu setzen. Wir haben gemeinsam mit anderen Organisationen versucht, das Energieeinspeisegesetz (EEG) für unrechtmäßig erklären zu lassen, wir haben versucht, größere Abstände zur Wohnbebauung durchzusetzen, wir haben die Verluste an Wohn- und Lebensqualität angeprangert und vieles mehr.

Leider ist die Macht der Windlobbyisten in politischen Kreisen groß. Dagegen können wir uns nur durchsetzen, wenn wir uns zusammenschließen. Und das ist nicht einfach.

Deshalb danken wir dem Team der EPAW für die Bemühungen, dieses zu erreichen und die Politiker aufzurütteln. Wir unterstützen voll und ganz die Ziele von EPAW und hoffen auf eine durchschlagende Wirkung des Briefes an die EU-Institutionen.

STOPP rasering av Kysten

We are very glad to see the good work that EPAW is doing to protect our nature against the wind-turbine installations.

We here in Norway says to our government that we must use the best options first, and then windturbines is not the way to go.

We say the Energy saving must have highest focus, followed by use of geothermic energy, bio, thermic sun energy, hydropower, gass, offshore windenergy.

Last week I visited the hannover Fair in Germany. This fair also have a high focus on wind energy.

During my stay in Hannover, I spoken with young well educated families about energy. I was quite surprised to notice that the use of heatpumps etc was totally unknown to them as an alternative to heat up their houses.

Bürgerinitiative Rückenwind fürs Erlauholz e.V.

Unsere Bürgerinitiative schließt sich gerne der EPAW an. Wir identifizieren uns mit den Zielen und Forderungen der EPAW. Wir hoffen, dass sich noch viele andere Vereine, Interessensgruppen und auch Gemeinden dieser Plattform anschließen und somit unseren Zielen zum Erfolg verhelfen.

Wir möchten uns für Ihren länderübergreifenden Einsatz gegen die Lobbyisten der Windenergie herzlich bedanken. Wir hoffen, dass unser Widerstand gegen die Monster-Windkraftanlagen in unseren Kulturlandschaften mit ihren zweifelhaften ökologischen Nutzen in ganz Europa wahrgenommen wird und dass die verantwortlichen Stellen endlich eine objektive und umfangreiche Prüfung der Windenergie durchführen werden.

Für die Erreichung diese Ziele lohnen sich unsere Anstrengungen.

Stop Gartree Wind Farm

The Stop Gartree Wind Farm Group oppose the construction of 4 x 125 metre high turbines within 2 km of Market Harborough in Leicestershire and nearby villages, and less than 1 km of Lubenham village.

The site also lies within a few hundred metres of a major accident rated high pressure gas line and HM Prison Gartree. We are concerned with the negative environmental and social impacts of this development and support the EPAW call for a moratorium on Wind Turbines.

C'est l'Allemagne !

C'est l'Allemagne, das ist Deutschland: ein Irrgarten voller Windräder! Riesenhafte Stahltürme mit Propeller, die sich in den Himmel bohren, die die Eigenart ganzer Regionen verfremden – durch ihre jeden natürlichen Maßstab sprengenden Dimensionen.

Die gigantischen Rotoren überragen Natur und Landschaft, überformen Häuser und Kirchen, verwandeln Land und Erholungsräume in stereotype Industriezonen. Sie verbreiten eine erhebliche optische Unruhe, sie nehmen der Landschaft die ihr innewohnende Ruhe. Landschaft und Natur als Ort der Erholung und Sinnsuche sind verloren.

Dass Lichtreflexe und rotierende Bewegung der Windräder das Landschaftsbild nur zerrissen wahrnehmen lassen, zeigte unser Osterspaziergang – mit Blick auf einen wenige Wochen alten Wind„park“. Vor uns die sich durch ein weites Tal und sattes Grün schlängelnde Aller, ein breiter geruhsamer Fluss, dahinter schlagende Rotoren, die sich im Gegenlicht wie sich verhakelnde schwarze Spinnen ausnahmen!

Ein Anblick, der schreckte, der Grauen erregte und tief deprimierte. Ein Anblick, der das sonnige Osterwetter verdunkelte. Ein Anblick, der alle Hoffnung auf die viel versprochene „Bewahrung der Schöpfung“ zunichte macht/e. Ein Anblick mit erschreckendem Ausblick auf das, was noch kommen wird: Das grüne, reizvolle Allertal wird mit hohen staatlichen Fördermitteln zu einer grauen „Plus-Energie-Region“ gemacht, es wird dem Zeit„geist“ geopfert. Wie das ganze Land. C'est l'Allemagne.
